With McAfee (Intel) getting a push by Gartner's recent report, Dell who is also playing in the corporate security space had to respond, so here it is, read for yourself and tell us what you think?

Nothing spectacular here, just yet, but given TE's background I would think that this is a good bet for them, and could even be a flank move into wider IoT / M2M / IoE space, .....just thinking out loud

Definitely read this take on Intel, its process technology and the marketplace, as well as some well targeted, albeit veiled, points about SemiWiki.com being uninformed and paid spokepersons for other firms (we know them to be TSMC, Synopsys, Cadence, and a couple others).

The comment section at the bottom though is an awesome give and take between the analyst and other investors some of which are quite informed in their own right. 

A lot of technologies that are unveiled worth the read to see where Intel is really taking on IoT with vigor.  We expect to see more, as this is just the 1st round from Intel, Samsung, Google and all the others just saw their biggest competitor show up ready to play on this front of the Silicon Wars (Well done Brian)

Excellent question, and one still begging to be answered effectively, as of yet no dominant design or platform has emerged, but expect many to get stuck into this effort....

Panasonic and their 4K TV play, this article is yet another scathing attack on the usefulness of such products in this space.  

Interesting but where is the use case that really takes this to the next level of application for someone to use and gain benefit from?   Seems to be another tech in search of a use, or does someone see it differently?

If youre in R&D / Tech Dev / NPD for any period of time, you use "Little Data", this article goes a long way towards helping you beter understand what the real world is when we talk about "Little Data" from an innovation / R&D / Tech Dev / NPD p.o.v.    

As to the quantifiable self and the use of the term 'little data' in that context, well the point is still true here as well, data (big or little) is pretty much useless unless you know what you're looking for, you've got to have an algorithm that acts as a screening agent for what is important and useful.  In addition do not confuse data points / information for knowledge (that requires discrimination of the data), nor is it wisdom (as that requires an understanding of the system and operating by principle)

"The Path of the Disruptor" - this article very nicely outlines the disruption process and we must admit to smirk on our faces to watch the cable companies and the networks squirm in response (with anti-customer tactics like ABC last week demanding that users log in with cable company id) that will ultimately fail against a disruptor.

Good overview, might be worth it to buy, The 5 Forces of Conext for IoT: 1) Mobile  2) Social Media 3) Data 4) Sensors 5.) Location - and we know of others that are not on this list but hey everyone has an opinion right?

OK so it's different than the rest in a better than kind of way, but how come we still get the feeling that this is still kitchy stuff, and not all that uber useful?  (Because we don't think the real use cases have been captured and thus we suggest waiting for version2.0 instead)

And now a useful contribution to the smart technology that we've been seeing come out of CES this year, and this one actually help out mankind, perhaps save some lives too.
