There is almost nothing at all that has been peer-reviewed published on the topic and that is the result of very specific regulatory decisions taken concerning GM foods. I will say again, there are hardly a handful of articles in the peer-reviewed literature looking at the health effects of any given GM food, let alone the incredibly complex issue in general.
As noted in the book, this is due to a curious decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulators to declare a-priori, and over the objection of FDA scientists, that GM foods are “substantially equivalent” to non genetically modified foods and thus can be released without any oversight, studies or regulation. The terrible absurdity of this position (and why there are no studies on the health effects of these new organisms) takes a moment to sink in and requires departure from the book review for a brief moment.
Later that day, I sat on a panel of four experts to answer questions from conference attendees. Many of the questions were directed at the PhD immunologist on the panel, asking if the statements I had made in the morning presentation were true. To my surprise, the immunologist confirmed every assertion I had made.
The first was that it is pointless to administer drugs intended to stimulate antibody production to babies who are too young to produce antibodies. Infants in their first year mostly depend on generalized, non-specific immunity, including (hopefully) immunoglobulins from breast milk, to protect their young bodies from infection. Despite this basic fact, the medical establishment insists administering a total of 19 shots, containing 24 vaccines, to infants on the 2, 4 and 6 month pediatric visits (Source: cdc.gov). Somehow, the basic facts of human physiology and development do not apply to vaccines.
Opponents of marijuana legalization often suggest that legalization would lead to an increased number of vehicle accidents.
However, a new study from the Institute for the Study of Labor finds that states that legalized medical marijuana have seen a decline in traffic fatalities, the “leading cause of death for Americans age 35 and under.” According to researchers, states in which medical marijuana is legal saw a decline in alcohol use which, in turn, helped lower the number of traffic fatalities. “Specifically, we find that traffic fatalities fall by nearly 9 percent after the legalization of medical marijuana,” they said.

If this isn’t class warfare – What is? Here we have government agencies, pharmaceutical companies and medical doctors who have either turned a blind eye or viciously violated the very basic human rights of disenfranchised children at the public’s expense. And it is not the first time either – there is a pattern of abuse here. I helped a journalist expose 13 experiments that abused and killed orphans and foster kids at an AIDS center in NYC in 2004. Many of these victims didn’t even have HIV! Once the investigations started the number of kids experimented on rose from 50 in NYC to more than 700 nationwide and that was without the cooperation of the agencies involved in signing off on the experiments.

Who is saying the vaccines are contaminated?
None other than the (now deceased) head of vaccines at Merck, Dr. Maurice Hillerman, who on camera admitted that Merck's Hepatitis B vaccines, contaminated with a virus, caused the AIDS epidemic in the US. He went on to say that all of Merck's vaccines are contaminated with cancer and other viruses.
Well, not exactly. The video that is being referred to is not really a live video interview. The've got a recording of a talk Hilleman gave, with some footage but it does not match the talking.
I believe there has been some manipulation of that video/audio to make things appear worse than they were intended by Hilleman. The virus that Hilleman talks about finding is SV40, which is said to be a cancer causing virus, not an AIDS causing virus. At one point, he makes a joke saying something like "I didn't know that I was importing AIDS into America". That was a reference to a theory that was in circulation at the time, that the HIV virus came from African green monkeys. That theory has never been confirmed and it was a laughing matter to Hilleman and those listening to his talk at the time. But judge for yourself, here is the video:

Research from health pioneer (and former ANH-USA board member) Dr. Paul G. Harch published in the Journal of Neurotrauma indicates that hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, is able to dramatically help veterans with post-concussion syndrome (a form of traumatic brain injury) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Sixth study in recent months links mercury in flu shots to brain damage, autism The toxic effects of the mercury, also known in vaccines as Thimerosal, have once again been confirmed, this time by researchers from the University of Brazil.

They found conclusively that Thimerosal accumulates in brain tissue, negatively affects brain development, and harms brain cells.

It's well known that conflicts of interest abound in the FDA and USDA, but Big Agra and Big Pharma also have some ties that you may not be aware of.

People outside the alternative health community are often confused by the lack of autism in the Amish people. The Amish do not experience autism, or any of the other learning disabilities that plague our technological society.

The federal government has not done enough to oversee the treatment of America’s foster children with powerful mind-altering drugs, according to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report to be released Thursday.
ABC News was given exclusive access to the GAO report, which capped off a nationwide yearlong investigation by ABC News on the overuse of the most powerful mind-altering drugs on many of the country’s nearly 425,000 foster children.
The GAO’s report, based on a two-year-long investigation, looked at five states — Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon and Texas. Thousands of foster children were being prescribed psychiatric medications at doses higher than the maximum levels approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in these five states alone. And hundreds of foster children received five or more psychiatric drugs at the same time despite absolutely no evidence supporting the simultaneous use or safety of this number of psychiatric drugs taken together.

The EPA has determined that resistance to Monsanto's BT genetically modified corn appears to be evolving in the rootworm population. Monsanto appears to have not expected such rapid failure of this GMO crop, which was just introduced in 2003, to control rootworms. EPA has determined that Monsanto's response to performance failures it cannot explain are inadequate.
Last July, the FDA stunned supplement manufacturers with its proposed Guidance that would require all dietary ingredients introduced into the marketplace since 1994 to undergo drug-like safety testing prior to marketing. The tests could cost millions of dollars per each new ingredient, and that includes each variation on that ingredient too. These requirements would not make supplements any safer than they are today and would require supplement makers to lay aside 20 years of profits to conduct the tests. To make matters worse, tens of thousands of workers would lose their jobs as the supplement industry would be forced to remove products from store shelves.
While many of these dietary supplements have been on the market for over a decade without reported deaths or significant side effects, the FDA's proposed new dietary ingredient guideline appears to be nothing more than an expensive paperwork exercise intended to eradicate many safe products from the marketplace.
The vast majority of doctors care about the health of their patients and want the best for them. It is therefore staggering to learn that according to official records hundreds of thousands of people die every year, in the USA alone, from medical practices. These deaths are not from malpractice as such, but from established medical procedures and from prescription drugs taken as directed by a physician. It is such a recognised phenomenon that there is an official term for illness and death caused by medical treatment; it is called iatrogenesis.
Official figures show that, after heart disease and cancer, the biggest killer in America is the medical profession. This is not a problem peculiar to the USA and, alarmingly, it is not a situation that is improving. Statistics show that for both America and the UK a person is more likely to die as a result of a visit to a doctor than they are from a road traffic accident. It is obvious that there is something fundamentally wrong with modern medicine.
