Da tutte le schede di dimissione ospedaliera vengono calcolati gli indici di rischio con cui il ministero della Sanità tiene sotto controllo le performance dei vari nosocomi. Un lavoro imponente che fino allo scorso anno veniva eseguito in silenzio. Solo nel 2012, infatti, questi dati stati resi accessibili ai medici e ai giornalisti accreditati.
