You might have noticed that we’re big fans of tools at Buffer. We’ve written about tools for mobile marketing. Tools for Facebook. Tools for SEO. Of course, we make tools for social media management, so there’s a chance we could be a bit biased. But we see online tools and apps as a key part of our philosophy of working smarter, not harder. It’s also a lot of fun to find a great new tool! So when the tool-finding team at Product Hunt asked us at Buffer to curate a list of our top tools for remote workers and mobile teams, we jumped at the chance...

Here is a short summary of the main differentiators between U2F security keys and traditional smart card- and hardware-based authentication devices: No need for drivers, client software and middleware – Uses native drivers and built-in support directly into the browser. No installation, no configuration – just works !Highly scalable while protecting your privacy - Generates a new set of encryption keys for every service, that is only stored on the specific service it connects to. With this approach no secrets are shared among service providers, and even low-cost security keys can support any number of services.Great user experience – To register and authenticate, all it takes is a simple touch of a button!

If your channel is in good standing (no strikes), you can enable live events from your Account Features page.
Once your channel is enabled for live events, you’ll see a "Live Events" option in your Video Manager.
This way one doesn't have to create a Google+ Event for a Hangout on Air: Nice to use for private coaching, testing or demo videos too.

With the launch of Lollipop, the Google+ Photos app will replace the Gallery app for the following Nexus devices: 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10. Users do not need a Google+ account or sign-in into Google+ in order to use the Photos app.
Why the change? As you know, Google is continually improving the experience on Google+ Photos, and now for Nexus users, they’re consolidating photo viewing and managing to a single app for a better photos experience, plus some additional features, such as Auto Backup, if users choose to sign in to Google+.
Gallery app is available only for devices running Android 4.2 to 4.4. If your device is running Android 5.0 or higher, use the Photos app to manage your photos.

Google’s approach for rolling out the latest version of Android, Lollipop, is a little different. There are the usual things we see every year — a new Nexus phone and a new Nexus tablet — but instead of a big event, the company is posting details in blog posts and on the main Android site.
So if you’re tracking the rollout closely, you probably have a sense of what’s new and what’s cool in the OS. If you’re not, though, getting a sense of what Lollipop is actually like and what it actually does isn’t easy.

If you’re a small business owner the time to come to grips and understand all the ins and outs of search engine optimization (SEO) is limited. With semantic search the list of things you have to do in order to help your business become more visible on the web has grown. When you have little time and few resources in money and manpower it makes sense to get your wins where you can. With semantic search, paradoxically, there are some that every small business can apply and most don’t...
