I made a few alterations by adding 4 x 4, cross member's. Reinforcements were 4 x 4 as well. instead of using wood, I used composite decking and put artificial flowers in the flower box.

Built the shooting bench with a couple minor changes. I had free 4x4s and one inch deck boards for the top. The 4x4s are sturdy so only used one brace.
