Walking around town taking pictures | Karim Haddad

Walking around town taking pictures | Karim Haddad | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

It’s not something I’m used to doing. But every now and then, it’s good to get out of your comfort zone. Most of my photography so far has been rooted in travel. I’ve taken quite a few pictures in the DMV, but the majority of them have been urban landscapes near tourist spots. I took my new Fuji out with my 5D recently to the Lincoln Memorial. Both performed splendidly, but there was something special about the look of my Fuji photos, even the ones that weren’t necessarily  the best of the shoot. I can’t wait to take my new camera with me on a trip overseas. Although the X-Pro1 is not pocket size, it’s a lot easier to carry around with than a dSLR. Even after I buy new lenses, I can still carry the whole kit around in a small bag. It also makes me want to take pictures of the most mundane things in my neighborhood that I hadn’t bothered to look twice at before. ........

First Fujifilm X-T1 Film Simulation Recipes

First Fujifilm X-T1 Film Simulation Recipes | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

I’ve had my Fujifilm X-T1 for less than two weeks. I plan to create many different film simulation recipes for it, but that takes time, so they’ll likely trickle out over the coming months. I did create three film simulation recipes, which you’ll find below. I like to mimic the aesthetic of vintage films with in-camera JPEG settings, as I learned photography in the film era. These three X-T1 recipes aren’t intended to mimic the look of any particular film; I just like how they look.

...

Even though these recipes were created on a Fujifilm X-T1, they’re compatible with all X-Trans II cameras, such as the X100T, X-E2, and X-T10, as well as Fujifilm Bayer cameras, like the XF10, X-T100, and X-A7. The Velvia and Monochrome recipes are compatible with X-Trans I cameras, such as the X-Pro1, X100S and X-E1. I should also point out that my Fujifilm XF10 film simulation recipes are compatible with the X-T1 and other X-Trans II cameras.

Announced: Fujifilm X-T200 | fujixweekly | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
Fujifilm just announced the upcoming X-T200, which is the successor to the X-T100. While the X-T200 looks a lot like the camera that it's replacing, and some of the specs might seem identical, this is definitely an improved model. Essentially, it's a Fujifilm X-A7 that looks like an X-T100, but with some brand new features.…

Thoughts on the Fujifilm X-Pro 3…… | Bill Fortney | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

If I don’t do street photography and am no longer a photojournalist/documentarian, how could I like a camera designed mostly for that crowd???? I actually think the X-Pro 3 is a wonderful choice for people, travel, and Americana photography, and would work fine for nature/landscape as well.

Fujifilm Monochrome

Fujifilm Monochrome | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
Leica recently announced the M10 Monochrom, which is their third black-and-white only camera. It can't capture a color picture because it doesn't have a Bayer array. It only does black-and-white photography. Fujifilm should do something similar, even though most won't buy it. Believe it or not, there's actually an advantage to a monochrome sensor. With…

Fujifilm X-T200 vs X-A7 – The 10 Main Differences

Fujifilm X-T200 vs X-A7 – The 10 Main Differences | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

For each category in Fujifilm’s X-Series line-up, there is at least one model with a protruding viewfinder at the centre and one with a flat-topped rangefinder design.

The new X-T200 is the latest entry-level model with a centrally-placed viewfinder, whereas the X-A7, which was released in October 2019, is its flat-topped equivalent. Although they share much of the same technology on the inside, there are quite a few relevant differences in their physical appearance as we’ll discover in this comparison.

I dropped my X-Pro2 today! I always get asked why my cameras are so pristine, whenever people see them in my gearshots. Fujifilm XC 35mm f/2 first look preview –

Fujifilm XC 35mm f/2 first look preview – | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

First of all happy new year! I took a well deserved break from blogging since my review on the 7artisans 35mm f/1.2 back in late November of 2019. But this is a new decade, and behold – the first gear writeup of the new century on my blog is yet again a 35mm lens writeup.
I will not deny the fact that I have two favourite focal lengths on APSC. One being the 23mm, the other being the 35mm. As a Fujifilm user I’m definitely spoiled when it comes to these two focal lengths. There are a lot of great lenses to choose from out there, and I think I have written about most of them on my site at some point. The very weird exception to the rule is the magical XF35mm f/1.4R. I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to writing about my all time favourite Fujinon lens.
