Malgré une tentative de record avortée et reportée à l’année prochaine, l’Hydroptère DCNS n’a pas perdu son temps aux Etats-Unis, il en a profité pour exploser quelques records du côté de Los Angeles d’abord puis San Francisco et pour accueillir à son bord des guests de haut niveau puisqu’en l’espace de 3 mois se sont succédé au volant du trimaran Laird Hamilton, Paul Cayard, CEO d’Artemis Racing, James Spithill barreur d’Oracle Racing et Paul Campbell James de Luna Rossa Racing, trois équipes engagées dans l’America’s Cup mais aussi des patrons de Google et Youtube en passant par des compagnies innovantes telles que Sunpower. Nul doute que des cartes de visites ont été échangées et que le bateau va gagner encore une fois en notoriété....

The Walvis Bay wind machine seems to have broken down. The powers that be that make this one of the best and most consistent speed sailing venues in the world have taken a break and left no message as to when they are coming back.
So I should be happier about setting a new PB over 500 meters of 50.98 knots. The peak speed was around 53 knots (1 GPS was over, the other under). The run started perfectly and felt super steady. Having an average so close to the peak shows this.
