This lush warm-season screen is created with lengths of chain between pairs of copper K-style gutters, which have flat backs. Secure gutters and chains with bolts. Drill drainage holes in gutters, and fit with end caps. Attach latching eye hooks to chains, and hang from screw hooks. Plant vines, such as ivy, with potting soil that contains lightweight perlite.

Susan collected old metal wheels at flea markets for years and finally had enough to wire together as edging to set off planting beds. She used rebar stakes behind the wheels to keep the assembly from tipping.

There are drainage holes in each of the boots so that excess water can escape after watering. A power drill was used to drill four or five 1/4 inch holes through the soles and then another hole on the backside of the boot at the top so the boot can be hung on the fence using a cup hook. A nail hammered into the fence on a slant to prevent the boot from slipping off would work well too.
