This IMI2 JU topic is designed to generate an information set to help evolve clinical hypothesis generation that will drive the development of new therapeutic interventions for cancer and to identify patient sub-populations that may respond to specific interventions, in particular to immunotherapy. The proposed topic, for the first time, will assemble a consortium to generate a data set sufficient to gain a meaningful view of the tumour micro-environment. The generation of such a data set is the core activity of this IMI2 JU topic while the future purposes (improvement of the currently available treatments and development of potential therapeutic strategies) go beyond the frame of this topic.

Scope: Proposals should aim to collect best practice ICT applications and share them in a network of independent advisors. Proposals should be based on existing ICT advisory tools on biological, physical and economic processes that provide added value to current advisory techniques. Projects are furthermore expected to develop advisors' ability to support farmers on novel on-farm technologies (e.g. robots, internet of things (IoT) technologies, artificial intelligence), including the related costs and benefits and the role and position of farmers in a digital environment. Activities should ensure sufficient coverage of various cropping and livestock systems and farm sizes across all EU Member States. Activities should follow up on the key trends in digitisation of agriculture and make sure these are reflected in work on ICT advisory tools and the facilitation of farm-level uptake. Projects shall seek synergies with the national or regional EIP networks and EIP Operational Groups, and provide input to and coordinate their strategy with the SCAR-AKIS Strategic Working Group. Dedicated attention should be given to Member States where knowledge sharing attitudes and within the AKISs are still limited. Liaison should be made with concurring EU projects on agricultural digitisation. Consortia should bring together public and private advisors that have day-to-day on-farm advisory experience, and may further include other relevant players such as farmers, farmers' organisations, etc.

The Financial Guidelines have been prepared to help coordinators and beneficiaries (hereafter referred to as “the beneficiaries”) to understand the financial provisions of the grant agreements awarded and signed following the Call for Proposals related to the COSME Programme (2014-2020). Beneficiaries should read the guidelines carefully together with their signed grant agreement and its general terms and conditions.
The purpose of this document is to help beneficiaries understand and interpret the financial and legal provisions of the grant agreement (GA) they have signed. To this end, the text in the Financial Guidelines seeks to explain the definition of the technical vocabulary used whilst providing the reader with practical advices.
This guide concentrates mainly on the different aspects of costs incurred during the action of the GA, types of costs, i.e. eligible versus ineligible costs, and the different eligible cost categories, whilst providing explanation for each of the aspects mentioned above. The objective is to provide the beneficiaries with a reference to the different situations that may arise when dealing with costs allocation.

The overall objective of this topic is to determine whether diabetic cardiomyopathy is unique and distinct from the other forms of heart failure such as HFpEF or HCM by performing unbiased statistical clustering analysis from a dense phenotyping of these patient populations. Similar methodology has recently been used to identify phenotypically distinct and more homogeneous HFpEF segments. This approach would facilitate a molecular taxonomy of diabetic cardiomyopathy which is widely accepted in the scientific community and could be applied in the clinics for differentiation from other forms of heart muscle disorders already at disease onset, thereby enabling an optimised and individualised treatment of patients.
Furthermore, a better comprehension of the underlying mechanisms and clinical manifestations of diabetic cardiomyopathy will also allow the development of more translatable and predictable preclinical models to support target and drug discovery.

Research Participant Portal is your entry point for electronic administration of EU-funded research and innovation projects
Deadline: 23 January 2019 17:00:00
Scope:
Based on an established agro-food system, proposals shall consider a variety of additional bio-based processes and end products that could be integrated into the system, and that are viable on a small scale (farm to rural community level). The TRL of the technologies considered can vary at the start. The project shall test and demonstrate the combination of these in a circular configuration. The integrated system shall achieve a TRL 6-7.
Proposals can target any combination of non-food bio-based outputs, but projects focusing mainly on bio-fuels or bio-energy are not eligible. The choice of feed-stock sources shall avoid negative effects on food security. Proposals shall focus on a single agro-food system that should be common in Europe and offer high replication potential, and can be combined with sustainable management of natural areas and/or use of marginal lands. A complete assessment (economic, environmental and social) of the integrated system shall be carried out. The project shall include a business plan, and a set of policy options and recommendations.

Special emphasis is on the strengthening of European start-ups and SMEs by adopting new concepts linked to innovative agri-business and/or service models, and connecting them with actors that can provide access to finance, advanced training skills, knowledge and needs of the farming community.

The Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter is intended to encourage organisations that have track records of proven quality in organising VET mobility for learners and staff to further develop their European internationalisation strategies. European
internationalisation means supporting learning in another Erasmus+ Programme country by embedding high quality mobility activities into curricula, as well as developing international approaches throughout the sending organisation, for example by networking with bodies in other countries, promoting the learning of foreign languages and looking beyond national VET approaches. The internationalisation process should result in improved capacity of sending organisations to organise mobility for learners and staff, whilst at the same time rewarding, promoting and further developing the quality of learning mobility.
Eligible participants
A participating organisation can be:
- any public or private organisation (or its subsidiary/branch) active in the field of vocational education and training (referred to as a VET provider); or
- any public or private organisation active in the labour market (referred to as a company)

The general objective is to promote the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of education and training systems through the collection and evaluation of evidence on the systemic impact of innovative policy measures. This call requires the involvement of high-level public authorities of the eligible countries and the use of sound and widely recognised evaluation methods based on field trials (experimentation).
The specific objectives of this call are to:
— Promote trans-national cooperation and mutual learning among public authorities at the highest institutional level of the eligible countries in order to foster systemic improvement and innovation in the education and training fields,
— Enhance the collection and analysis of substantive evidence to ensure the successful implementation of innovative measures,
— Facilitate the transferability and scalability of innovative measures.
KEY PLAYERS IN POLICY EXPERIMENTATION
Three key players in European policy experimentations are: the responsible public authorities, the researchers and the target groups. Other partners can also play major roles, for example in terms of coordination, supervision, mediation or expertise.
When preparing an application, it is essential to involve all the relevant actors.
They should reach a consensus on the main elements of the experimentation, including : objectives, analysis of needs, the measure to be tested, the initial hypothesis, structures to be involved, target groups, potential participants in the field trials (including identification and selection criteria), human and financial resources, expected quantitative and qualitative outcomes, research and analysis methodologies, potential for follow-up, etc..
