Since 2001, the city has developed a food strategy that combines health, taste and climate responsibility. Copenhagen has embarked on a long-term project to improve public meals by ensuring all products are organic and using fewer meat-based products. The city also changed its procurement guidelines and initiated a dialogue with key food supply chain actors.

Painting London’s roofs white could have saved hundreds of lives during 2018’s record-breakingly hot summer, a new study has found. The average temperature from June through August that year was 19.2C - around 1.6C higher than usual for that time of year.

The Hague has become the first city in the world to pass a law banning advertisements promoting fossil fuel products and climate-busting services.
