Open Social Learning: Connectivism, As Practiced By A Teacher of English as a Foreign Language

Open Social Learning: Connectivism, As Practiced By A Teacher of English as a Foreign Language | Connectivism | Scoop.it

I contend that people can be mobilized to help someone who is a member of a PLN, and this mutually beneficial relationship motivates the positive sharing of expertise, knowledge, and resources.

Jheny Cifuentes Tobon's curator insight, April 29, 2018 6:05 PM
This is the 21st century, and this means that we all have to adapt to the needs that it requires. Teachers especially have to adapt themselves to the needs of new generations, which includes the use of technology in the classroom.
It is important that us, teachers, use technology in the classes because in that way, we can motivate students to learn. It is also because children and young people due to that change learn today in a different way, and we have to adapt to that learning changes.
Furthermore, we can also be connected with other EFL teacher around and share experiences to improve our teaching practice.

All Hands on Deck - Goldilocks and the 3 MOOCs

All Hands on Deck - Goldilocks and the 3 MOOCs | Connectivism | Scoop.it

Right now, I’m participating on various levels in three MOOCs: #Change 11, facilitated by Siemens, Cormier & Downes, Alec Couros’ EC&I 831, and Bud Hunt’s Writing & the Common Core on P2PU. This experience is a little like being Goldilocks in the MOOC version of the fairy tale. There’s the Daddy-size MOOC (#Change 11), a Mama-size MOOC (EC&I 831), and a Baby MOOC (P2PU) and I’m wandering through them, trying to find the one that’s just right.
