À l’occasion du sommet international « Nutrition for Growth », que la France accueille les 27 et 28 mars à Paris, focus sur deux tendances illustrant les conséquences sécuritaires de l’alimentation : la recherche de la souveraineté alimentaire et les efforts pour améliorer la nutrition humaine.

“Wake up before it’s too late.” Small farms are the only way to feed the world. “The time is now to switch back to our natural farming roots.” These are dire warnings from the U.N. in a 2015 report. Monocrops and GMOs are not the only answer and are not enough to feed the world. There must also be a supplemental food source to feed the planet. That food source is small farms. We have to grow our own food. This is something that farmers, ranchers, and homesteaders have known since the beginning of modern agriculture.
