Tonight, and most Saturdays this month, the WCB will be playing at Lucky 5. The best live music in Belize. For Summer 2013 ISIS, the Institution for Sustainable International Studies, will be having a course on filming art, culture, and wildlife documentaries in Belize.
"This is an introductory course for students to learn how to tell a visual story, using video, on aspects of culture and nature history against the background of the neotropical country of Belize. The knowledge gained and the practical field experience will be a valuable tool for students needing to promote future projects with powerful visual media. It will also provide core knowledge for those considering becoming professional documentary filmmakers in the fields of nature, local culture and biology. The course is taught by Emmy(r) Award winning videographers, Carol and Richard Foster, and Danny Valesquez." Best of Cayo's insight:
Thousands of Belizean teachers demonstrated in Belmopan yesterday for higher pay. These are the men and women that teach our kids, the future of Belize. Best of luck to all.
"Our best estimates just before the parade moved out puts the numbers at approximately two thousand five hundred. They were spirited and ready to do what they needed to do to send a message to government. And that message is not ambiguous or vague. It is crystal clear."
