Belize, Mexico, and Guatemala are in talks to create a tri-national nature reserve that will span 5.7 million hectares.  That's almost 3 times the size of Belize.  Great idea!  It'll be the 2nd largest reserve in Latin America, and a great step towards protecting the forests in the area.

The BTIA Cayo Chapter has a great video for the upcoming El Cayo Festival, which will be held along the Macal river on Saturday November 1st and Sunday November 2nd. They have many sporting events planned, including football, volleyball, a triathlon, a cycling race, and more. They'll also have many food competitions, including bollos and ixpasha. It'll be an all weekend event, with music and dances at night.
 
They will be on Channel 5 on Monday morning, explaining the cultural aspect of the festival. Contact them if you are interested in setting up a booth.

Congratulations to the Belize U-23 Women's Volleyball Team!  They defeated Guatemala, 3-1, and took Gold at the Volleyball Championship.  They dominated the entire championship, winning all but 1 set.  Well played!
