The Belize Raptor Center is having their Talons and Tacos part 2 fundraiser on Saturday, September 6th, at 5pm at Jalapeños. They'll have many great auction items.

The Belize Raptor Center is having their 1st Owl-O-Ween on Thursday. You can meet the owl ambassadors, make some smores around a bonfire, and win some prizes. It's free, and you can call 615-0226 to reserve a spot. They'll even have transportation.

The Belize Raptor Center is planning their Easter Extravaganza for Monday, April 1st. They'll have a big Easter egg hunt, and an educational program for kids. Call 615-0226 for more information.

The Belize Raptor Center is having a Raptor Ambassador youth Camp on Saturday, January 5th.  The kids will learn all about the raptors of Belize.  Contact the BRC at 615-0226 for more information.

Ages 6-10 are welcome to join.

$15 per child. This includes all activities, a t-shirt, snacks and lunch(provided by The Bluffs)

The Belize Raptor Center now has night adventures. Hiking, wildlife spotting, bonfires, fun!   Contact them at 615-0226 to arrange a wild expedition. Proceeds go towards vet expenses and food for their raptors.

Great article about the Belize Raptor Center.  Tons of amazing pictures of the birds they've been rehabbing.  The article covers the story of the BRC, and introduces one to many of the birds there.  Well written, informational, and definitely worth a read.  

"Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with an eagle? Or have lunch with a buzzard? Hoot with the owls? Or even have a bird-day party? 

We did, so we did. 

We got personal, had lunch, hooted and partied with some pretty incredible flying creatures at the Belize Raptor Center (BRC) here in San Ignacio. We love birds, especially the colorful beauties we’ve seen here. 

The BRC was started in 2015 and it rescues, treats, rehabs and, in some cases, is able to release injured birds of prey. But a very special few remain at the Center, because of permanent disabilities. These “resident raptors” are a vital part of the BRC family and are the superstars of the Center’s educational efforts."

The Belize Raptor Center will be having a fundraiser on Saturday, October 8th, at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.  The BRC has been spearheading Story Time at the SIPL over the Summer.  The goal of their fundraisers, there will be a concurrent one in Salt Lake City, is to build an Avian Visitor Center and Bird Theater.  

"Come ready to enjoy live music, raffles, drinks, good food and great company! You won't want to miss out on the special silent auction featuring local artwork and other exciting items.  Guests will also have the opportunity to get up close encounters with some of BRC's amazing Avian Ambassadors.  Tickets are only $40 BZ which includes appetizers and a complimentary drink. Ticket locations to be posted soon.  All proceeds will go toward the creation of a Visitor Center and Indoor Bird Theater at the Belize Raptor Center.
