12 students are being awarded scholarships to further their education this year, courtesy of Chaa Creek's Academic Scholarship Program. That is a great investment in the future. Chaa Creek also distributed school supplies to 37 students who live in Corozalito village, and took them on a trip to the Belize Zoo. Thanks, Chaa Creek!
"Chaa Creek’s Academic Scholarship Program has kicked off this year with an increase in the number of pupils accepted into the annual student assistance program, and scholarship coordinator Lucy Fleming said she couldn’t be happier with the results from this 'investment in the future.' The Academic Scholarship Program has been providing financial assistance to students undertaking study in various levels of education, including high school, colleges and university, since 1995. The rigorous selection process is based on academic performance and financial needs, with an aim towards assisting those Belizeans who show promise in attaining their goals."
