He received his doctoral degree from the Aesthetics + Computation Group at the MIT Media Laboratory, where his research focused on combining fields such as computer science, statistics, graphic design, and data visualization as a means for understanding information.

tind.org(thisisnotdesign) is a video art group from Montreal active since 2001. It is formed of many VJs, video artists and photographers. TIND’ style is mainly based on the visual textures created by the errors found in video compression, interferences, bad video signals and video feedback. This texture accumulate itself in layers and then create a blurry space between the abstract and the figurative world. Recompose is a new system for manipulation of an actuated surface. By collectively utilizing the body as a tool for direct manipulation alongside gestural input for functional manipulation, we show how a user is afforded unprecedented control over an actuated surface. We describe a number of interaction techniques exploring the shared space of direct and gestural input, demonstrating how their combined use can greatly enhance creation and manipulation beyond unaided human capability.

"Stained" is a combined audio and visual live coding performance. Along with the programming code itself, the work's primary visual content is a photograph, taken by the author, of a stained glass panel in Bath Abbey Somerset UK. A brass choir is used to present an increasingly aggressive chant reflecting and effecting the stained image.

Nous recherchons quatre projets d’art numérique. Trois d’entre eux seront présentés dans une salle obscure et ne devront pas dépasser les dimensions suivantes Long. 2,50m x larg. 2,50 m x haut. 3m. Le quatrième projet devra être bidimensionnel (image(s) numérique(s)) et ne devra pas mesurer plus de Long.2 m x larg. 3,30 m. Les œuvres sélectionnées seront exposées à l’église des Trinitaires du 12 au 16 avril 2011. Ils seront intégrer à l’exposition Bin Ere qui propose un panorama de la création numérique actuelle.

Bionic Arduino is a set of four 3-hour classes in November 2007 hosted by Machine Project and taught by Tod E. Kurt. It is an introduction to microcontroller programming and interfacing with the real world using the Arduino physical computing platform. It focuses on building new physical senses and making motion with the building blocks of robotics, using Arduino as a platform.
