Dans un tweet publié dimanche, un groupe de hackers liés au mouvement AntiSec affirme avoir attaqué un serveur appartenant à Apple. AntiSec, qui regroupe des pirates anciennement membres de LulzSec et des Anonymous, milite pour la non diffusion d’information permettant aux firmes de sécuriser leurs services. Ces derniers mois, Anonymous et Lulz Security s’en étaient pris entre autres aux données de Sony, Nintendo, ou encore de la CIA et du FBI.
Pour le moment, cette attaque sonne comme un avertissement, le groupe de hackers ayant affirmé être "occupé ailleurs". Les pirates auraient en effet simplement diffusés les identifiants et mots de passe d’un serveur appartenant à la Firme et ceux d’une trentaine de comptes. Mais lorsque l’on connaît l’impact qu’a eu l’attaque de LulzSec contre le PSN de Sony, on peut redouter ce qui arriverait si les AntiSec décidaient de faire d’iTunes leur nouvelle cible.

Update June 1, 6:00AM PDT: The bad guys have wasted no time. Hours after Apple released this update and the initial set of definitions, a new variation of Mac Defender is in the wild. This one has a new name, Mdinstall.pkg, and it has been specifically formulated to skate past Apple’s malware-blocking code.
