US Congress -- Partisan & Ideological Makeup

US Congress -- Partisan & Ideological Makeup | AP Government & Politics | Scoop.it
Jillian Greene's curator insight, October 13, 2013 7:18 PM

This graph is so intricately and well done. One thing I noticed was that the political leanings went from being extremely divided to fairly moderate and are currently back to being very divided.

Jessica O'Connell's curator insight, October 13, 2013 9:25 PM

This is a really interesting graph showing the changes in political parties all the way from the very beginning of the American political system. It is particularly intersting to note how the Senate's political majorities is often different from the House of Representative's political majorities.

6 Alexandra Domain's curator insight, January 15, 2015 2:25 PM

A graph showing the progression of congress. This graph shows how the house and senate have grown and changed since its been created. This connects to our content in class because the congress plays a major role in the constitution and federalism.. I chose this graph because it was an interesting representation as to how the house and senate are structured. this is reliable because you can see the evolution of both house and senate since the washinton era. I learned how the fluxuation of both parts have occurred. this helps to understand how the legislative branch is formed.
