On Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration approved Revolution Medicines’ daraxonrasib as a last resort option for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC). In late-stage clinical trials, the drug doubled people’s length of survival compared to standard chemotherapy. On Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration approved Revolution Medicines’ daraxonrasib as a last resort option for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC). In late-stage clinical trials, the drug doubled people’s length of survival compared to standard chemotherapy. Daraxonrasib, which will be sold under the brand name Rasonque, is poised to be the first in a new class of medications that can attack a long-elusive target commonly found in pancreatic and other cancers.

Ineffable Intelligence, the London-based AI startup founded by David Silver, the British researcher who led the creation of AlphaGo, AlphaZero, and AlphaStar at Google DeepMind, has been backed by Sequoia Capital and Nvidia at a valuation of $5.1 billion.

The round, one of the largest ever raised by a startup at such an early stage, was led by Sequoia, with Sequoia managing partner Alfred Lin and partner Sonya Huang having flown to London personally to meet Silver and secure the deal.

SpaceX has secured a call option to acquire AI coding startup Cursor, developed by San Francisco-based Anysphere, for $60 billion later this year, or, alternatively, to pay $10 billion for the joint AI development work the two companies are conducting together.

SpaceX announced the arrangement in a post on X on Tuesday, describing “SpaceXAI” and Cursor as working together to “create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI.

Beijing —  They were trailing behind their human rivals a year ago. But on Sunday, an android outpaced the entire field to run a half-marathon faster than even the quickest human.
Lightning, a running robot developed by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, finished the 21-kilometer run in Beijing in a stunning 50 minutes and 26 seconds, beating the human world record by more than six minutes.

The human record – of 57 minutes and 20 seconds – is held by Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo, according to World Athletics.
