Laut Kokotajlo wird ein solches System eigenständig Probleme lösen und durch parallel laufende Prozesse auf Serverfarmen enorme Geschwindigkeiten erreichen. Die Arbeit in globalen Kernindustrien könnten dann KI-Systeme und von ihnen entworfene Roboter erledigen. Ineffable Intelligence, the London-based AI startup founded by David Silver, the British researcher who led the creation of AlphaGo, AlphaZero, and AlphaStar at Google DeepMind, has been backed by Sequoia Capital and Nvidia at a valuation of $5.1 billion.

The round, one of the largest ever raised by a startup at such an early stage, was led by Sequoia, with Sequoia managing partner Alfred Lin and partner Sonya Huang having flown to London personally to meet Silver and secure the deal.

Lightning, a running robot developed by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, finished the 21-kilometer run in Beijing in a stunning 50 minutes and 26 seconds, beating the human world record by more than six minutes.

The human record – of 57 minutes and 20 seconds – is held by Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo, according to World Athletics.

Ein Motor der sich die Energie quasi aus dem Nichts greift: Klingt nach Sience Fiction, ein Team an der University of California Davis aber hat nun einen Motor entwickelt, der komplett ohne Strom oder Treibstoff läuft. Die Maschine nutzt stattdessen den natürlichen Temperaturunterschied zwischen der warmen Erdoberfläche und der Kälte des Weltalls und erzeugt daraus mechanische Energie.

OpenAI has shifted ChatGPT’s advertising model from cost-per-thousand impressions to cost-per-click, a change that puts the company in direct competition with Google and Meta for performance advertising budgets ten weeks after it first placed ads inside the chatbot. Advertisers can now set bids between $3 and $5 per click, according to screenshots of OpenAI’s new ads manager, while the minimum spend has been cut from $250,000 to $50,000.

 

OpenAI is set to lose $14B this year. Ads could be the fix.
ChatGPT just changed how ads work inside the app.
If you use the free version, you now see ads under every answer.
OpenAI reads your chats to decide which ads to show.
