To increase student instruction, class discussions are essential. This article mentions ways to utilize Google Classroom and other add ons such as Nearpod and Padlet to create a collaborative environment.

This is a fantastic way of engaging and interacting with students during virtual learning.

Monitoring students understanding, increasing participation, and establishing a safe environment for learning and expression can be achieved through classroom discussions with Google apps. I like this idea for it gives each student the opportunity to share their ideas over the same confident kids always answering questions.

I always see things on TPT and think, " I could made that myself" well now with the help of google slides you can create your own drag and drop activities. There is a step by step tutorial video on how to create your own. I am excited to try this!

This is a great example of how to make drag and drop activities on Google Slides. I have used Google Slides that the images in the slide move and get distorted when my students are trying to manipulate items . An important step that many miss is making the image as a background. When you have your background the way you like it simply choose download and click on the PNG format. This will down load at the bottom of your screen where you can easily insert it on a new slide deck. Another feature that Google Slides allows you to do is assign in Google Classroom as "make a copy for each student" This allows for cooperative learning as you can have all students working on a set of slides together. Marvelous feature that can be used cross curriculum, grade level and ability levels.

I enjoyed reading the 25 ways to use Google Forms. The title says it all! It does show the practical ways to use Google Forms. If anybody needed to know exactly what they can do, this is the article to read. I usually use Google Forms to a assess but I'd like to create a digital escape room to review for a big assessment or to use for fun. The Learning and Creating section provides the reader with a lot of interesting activities. One that struck me the most that I haven't tried yet is the Choose Your Own Adventure. This is a must read article with examples. Perfect for anyone looking to for data collection tools!

Placing a tablet or computer on a students desk and expecting them to take off on their own to a planet full of learning excitement is not how technology in the classroom works. In the classroom, the tablet is only a tool when the student uses it as such, and becomes engaged with the content objective ordained by the lesson. In my experience, If my directions and assignment are rudimentary and vague, the student will become bored and stray from the objective. I'd like to share the ideas provided in this article because they are really useful in the classroom. If the assignment involves doing research on the causes of WW2, the students will find a sea of resources online. We ought to guide the student and create a mental guideline they must follow. For instance; David is working on the latter assignment. Now that David found a few sites with reliable information, lets take his learning to a higher level and have him tell you, the teacher, what made him choose one source over the other and how this will help his paper flourish to be informative and accurate.

These are, of course, good questions for a manager to ask him/herself.
