ST. PETERSBURG, June 28. /TASS/. Russia is ready to ensure required natural gas deliveries to Europe, including in case of the consumers' interest in the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Tuesday.

The Leviathan partners Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L), and Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) units Avner Oil and Gas LP(TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) notified the Tel Aviv stock Exchange this morning that together with the license operator Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) they will be making an initial $120 million investment in developing the field. They also reported that they are in talks with several entities on gas export deals.

Qatar National Bank has completed the acquisition of Turkey's Finansbank, the Gulf's largest lender said in a statement on Wednesday. The transaction is the latest for the Qatari lender, which is now the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa by assets, having brought Societe Generale's Egyptian business for $2 billion in 2013, and a 23.5 percent stake in pan-African lender Ecobank International in 2014. National Bank of Greece had to put its Turkish subsidiary up for sale to plug a capital shortfall identified by European Central Bank (ECB) stress tests in October, with QNB announcing an agreement in December to buy the bank for 2.7 billion euros ($3 billion)

Turkey’s Isbank posted a net profit of 969 million lira ($346 million) for the first quarter on Monday, short of the 1.01 billion forecast in a Reuters poll but up from 912.2 million a year earlier. Turkey’s Yapı Kredi bank posted a first quarter net profit of 704.3 million lira ($250 million) on Monday, a 40.6 percent rise on the same period a year ago and higher than the expectation in a Reuters poll.

Turkey’s cabinet is finalizing a comprehensive package to improve the investment climate, promising a series of regulations that will eliminate several obstacles which are faced by foreign direct investors and ease employment conditions for foreigners, Deputy Prime Minister Nurettin Canikli said June 13. “A comprehensive package was presented to the cabinet to improve the investment climate … We are preparing to launch a quite detailed regulation which will also resolve the problems before the foreign direct investment inflow,” he said. Trade and investment is set to soar between Turkey and Saudi Arabia over the coming years, as the two nations cement closer economic and political ties, according to reports Tuesday.
