Absolutely excellent article that every leader should read!
Sharing the Vision so that each employees understands where the company wants to be, what success looks like, who their customers are, what differentiates their company's product/service, and then knows what they can do to contribute is essential.
What is that quote: I tell you ...you may forget, I show you ...you may remember, however, when I involve you ...you will understand.
What do you think?
Make it a great day!

I like your quote ... gets right to the heart of the matter! And I'd take it a step further ... "when I share our greater purpose with you ... we will believe"

If something changes, it can change back. If transformed, you can only move forward.

Leadership has its challenges, and there’s none more daunting than walking into a difficult “turn around” situation.

In the U.S.A. many times we hold a false assumption that the percentage of women in top leadership is higher. |

This is a fantastic resource.
From the article:
Burns, the Grand Father of transformation leadership, defines it as a “Process of engaging with others in such a way as to raise leader and follower to higher levels of motivation and morality.” He contrasts this to, “A false conception of leadership as mere command and control.
As leadership comes properly to be seen as a process of leaders engaging and mobilizing human needs and aspirations of followers, women will be more readily recognized as leaders and men will change their own leadership styles.”

Yes, I agree. Being able to adapt your style to get the best out of yourself and others in different situations is the key!

"Leadership research has shown for the past 30 years that transformational leadership styles often predict effectiveness greater than transactional styles. In a PhD thesis recently accepted at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida, India,Badri Bajaj (2013) showed how social intelligence competencies matter in leadership. Studying 156 managers and their team members at a variety of software companies, he assessed how others say executives behave at work (not self-assessment), using the ESCI (Emotional and Social Competency Inventory) as a behavioral measure of Emotional Inteligence (EI) and Social Inteligence (SI) competencies".
