This site has a huge collection of photo and graphics effects that you can use to transform your images or text. The layout of the site could be better, but if you take some time to look through all the different effects that are possible you'll soon find your way around.

This is a great resource if you want to amaze people with the depth aand complexity of your vocabulary. Although it is called 'Unused words', many of the words are still in use. The site gives some interesting information about the history and origin of th words too.

This is a really useful tool to help develop your digital study skills. You can take notes and highlight specific parts of a web based text as you browse. You can sort your notes and links into collections and share these socially. Great tool.

It is our role as teachers to help students develop the skills to problem solve independently and collaboratively use 21st-century skills while not relying on technology to do all of the thinking for them. Just because these students are digital natives, does not mean that they do not need guidance to navigate the digital world–both in terms of learning how to discern important and relevant information from a large swath of data, and also to be able to inquire and solve problems that take time, thought, and energy.
