The mayor of Ithaca is working to hold Cornell University accountable for what he calls an "appalling response" to the allegations of a gang rape at the Chi Phi fraternity house two years ago. Mayor Robert Cantelmo said: "Despite the severity of these crimes, Cornell University administrators and police failed to contact or coordinate any response with the Ithaca Police Department."
