Croatia-based artist Alexander Pieri is a trained graphic designer who specializes in web design, corporate identity, and illustrations. In his series, Days with Colors, the artist has taken on a more personal endeavor by blending palettes of watercolors together to form these abstract scenes. Each image is grounded with one or two human figures, suggesting that the swirls of color overhead have meaning beyond the visibly conceptual forms.

In Richard Silver ongoing exploration of his hometown city of New York, Richard takes us on a tour of beautifully designed church ceilings around NYC. Each photo is a vertical panorama composed of 6-10 photos stitched together. Shooting from the pew to the exit door and back again, the dizzying 180-degree view wonderfully captures the intricate detail and design of each church’s ceiling.

At present my work reflects two ideas - points of connection and mapping. 'Points of connection' are created by the everyday momentary connections we make such as hands touching, whispers in the ear, stepping into a hot bath, first taste of our favorite food, etc. Each moment causes a sensation and then passes. Much of my work is about that moment of contact. Mapping is about my love of the idea of connecting the dots in our lives. All the lines intersecting and then the path veers, loops, ends, starts again somewhere else. We go forward and backward, we stand still, we sink, we stumble, we fall, - this action or lack of it, intrigues me. These two interests drive my current work. Jeane Myers 2012

With her draftsman father teaching her perspective and technique, he also encouraged freedom of expression. Before becoming a 'serious' painter, Harris attended college, and worked as a graphic designer running a small company which specialized in corporate identity. In 2001, her successful design company gave way to her full time art career.

These sculptures are unique in being both joyously colored and surprisingly macabre. Coming from the country know for celebrating the Day of the Dead, each skull is created by the Huichol people of Western Mexico. Each is made of cast resin and meticulously covered in thousands of tiny beads. The intricate patterns originate from the Huichol peoples traditional art and culture in the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Recently, Finland-based photographer Mikko Lagerstedt has put out some of his finest work to date. Called Infinity, the series shows a beautiful layer of fog sweeping through majestic landscapes both during the day and at night. "Most of the photos were taken this month in just two days time," he tells us. "There is something about fog that gives you the sense of infinity and mood. Never know what is 'behind' the fog."

Stanzie Tooth uses landscape as an entry point to create her work. Tooth finds inspiration in the art historical dialogue surrounding the sublime, landscape as psychological signifier. Many of her compositions feature figures that seem to be absorbed by or made of their natural surroundings. Through these compositions nature becomes and emotional extension of the form. In her recent series Tooth pushes further into abstraction. The treatment of the surface leaves the viewer searching for the recognizable; a horizon line, a tree, a face, only to be brought back to wavering lines of colour.

Artist's statement: Painting is like having a dialogue with the world and the result is visible evidence of the discussion. Some conversations are more successful than others? or rather some of the translations are more successful than others. Artists are interpreters who share their particular view of the world with anyone who cares to see it ? and anyone willing to look gains a broader perspective, and hopefully some pleasure from the experience.
