Hot on the heels of Olympus' announcement of the new version of one of the best-selling cameras in the mirrorless segment, the , we held a special panel discussion about it, hosted by Ugo Cei and with
This one's long...you might want to settle in...there's a lot of ground to cover.... This is a kind of review, but more kind of my first impression of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. The firmware I...
As a whole, 2014 was an interesting year on a personal and professional level, it was an adventure - challenging and fun. I believe I found consistency within my body of work and I aim to build on from there. I also experimented a little bit and even wrote a few reviews along the way. This post is…
This is a first look at the NEW Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II camera. I had it for about 4 days to play with it some and shoot this first impressions video.
A short film shot on the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II camera. The film was shot using two cameras and the following Olympus M.Zuiko lenses: 9mm f8 (Body Cap Lens),…

Earlier this week I was asked by the Scottish Government to cover for them the Great Canadian Kilt Skate which would be held in conjunction with Winterlude. So this morning in -30C hundreds of skaters in their kilts and tartans congregated on the Rideau Canal to honour the bicentennial of Canada's first Prime Minister: Sir John A. Olympus have a great event schedule available for photographers to attend. Many of the events are free and others are available for a small fee, depending on the sort of event. 'Since getting my Leica Summicron-T 23mm F2 ASPH Lens I now have the opportunity to see how this measures up against my Fuji X100s which also has a 23mm f/2 lens. I thought I would look at three things. How f/2 compares on each lens, what the jpgs. that are produced look like at ISO 200 and 3200 and how easy it is to manually focus the lenses.'
If you thought that February was going to be a dull month as far as mirrorless announcements are concerned, we’ve got some happy albeit potentially wallet-breaking news. Over the past couple of days, three different manufacturers ...

It was almost three years ago that I decided to throw photographic equipment security out the window. Despite my friends’ and colleagues’ objections and warnings, I chose a newly introduced camera, from a nearly bankrupt company, smeared with economic scandal, and technology nowhere near tested and proved. Everybody I knew frowned and shook their head with disapproval. “These are not pro cameras!”, said they.” Small sensor”, “where are the lenses”, blah, blah, blah…

I bought several lenses during the last years and lots of them went to Ebay in the meantime. Originally I was (and still am) a fan of wide angle lenses so calling a 75mm (or 150mm in Full Frame) lens my favorite is unexpected. The Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm F1.8 became my favorite lens during the last months even though the focal length is kind of special. Let me show you why it’s one of the best lenses I ever used.
