When I started looking at mirrorless cameras I naturally looked to find the best work that was being produced with the technology and looked for photographers using the system almost exclusively (or in some cases completely exclusively). I wanted to see what was possible with these cameras.
Having opted to go the Olympus route, I started looking specifically for Olympus photographers who were pushing the OM-D's to their limits and beyond. I found a few photographers who still today remain

There is no other way around it; if you need a macro lens, you need a macro lens. Though, sometimes, you don't.
Dedicated macro lenses can be expensive and, in many cases, they can end up being a one trick pony. For example, not having especially fast apertures, they might not be extra useful in low light or limited DoF portraiture.

I picked up the Nikkor 105mm f/2,5 F-mount lens sometime in 2010. I was told that it was a portrait. I was told that it had buttery bokeh, and sharpness and colour out the wazzoo. Cool beans I said.

I have a touch of what some photographers call GAS, or Gear Acquisition Syndrome. It was just last fall that I persuaded my wife how important a Nikon 70-200mm VRII lens was to me and how it would propel my hobby headshot "business". This completed my personal holy trinity of Nikon lenses, which also included the 16-35mm VR for "real estate" photography and the kit 24-85mm VR. But to be honest, my day job in finance doesn't leave a whole lot of time, or perhaps energy, as to allow the natu

This lens was somewhat of a surprise to me. Generally, I avoid wide angles like I avoid aubergine. However, I really grew to like the lens, which turned out to not be like aubergine at all. Unlike the 14mm, which I just could not get to like, this was different.
Aperture ring moves with the nice, elegant clicks we've gotten used to on the 56mm, and have the manual focus quick pull-back, like on the 14mm and 23mm.
It feels a bit bigger than the 23mm in hand, and is not shy in length ne
