The World Digital Library is an impressive tool that features information regarding subjects matters from all over the world. The site links to digital images with information and analysis regarding various artwork and artists. Not all of the information on the site relates to Art and Art History, but much of the informaiton provided is useful for research purposes. The collection places the most emphasis on Europe, South America, and the Middle East.

The first step we took in 1999 was to stop teaching isolated library skills classes. We began reinforcing information-literacy skills through class projects. At that time, we employed traditional strategies, including paper pathfinders and guided lab sessions.

doctrine of "fair use" to permit their making electronic copies of books and other materials for use in teaching and scholarship. In a landmark ruling over many issues not previously litigated to this degree in the digital era, the judge rejected many of the claims in a suit by three prominent publishers against Georgia State University.
