OpenAI just announced that it will remain under the control of its original nonprofit board and restructure its for-profit arm into a Public Benefit Corporation. While the headlines may focus on lawsuits and drama, this move seems like a reminder that mission still matters in the tech world. Purpose and profit can exist together, but it takes real discipline to hold that line. In the midst of all the noise, I’m hoping this signals a shift back toward building with intention and clarity.
