Like so many of you, I have a full-time job and I 'live' online. That in itself is enough. But like some of you, I am also a student. I'm in the final year (God willing!) of my doctoral studies with Athabasca University.
There are days when I feel extremely guilty for my lack of communication with those of you who so kindly follow me, thank me, retweet me and pass my work around the Internet. I want you to know that I'm well aware of your amazing support, but there simply are not enough hours in the day!
When I have completed my studies, I hope to have the time to begin to 'enjoy' my time online with much more collaboration and direct communication.
I very specifically 'scoop' and 'tweet' the positive in our world. This is an amazing time to be alive and I see the world as making significant progress. I don't bother with very 'provincial' stories (of one town, or state) and try to concentrate on a global perspective. I also don't bother with negative stories, My God, we get enough of that on the news (I use the term loosely) networks.
In order to move forward we need to dwell on the positive and incorporate it into our lives. Lamenting over the negatives will stagnate our thoughts and our progress.
Thank you again, to all of the interesting and enthusiastic people who are in my PLE! Together we can change the world, one day, one school, one family at a time.
