El modelo PMW-160 también incorpora una función de grabación caché de 15 segundos – en donde la grabación puede comenzar hasta 15 segundos antes de presionar el botón grabar para no perder escenas importantes, especialmente útil en la búsqueda de noticias o la captura de escenas de la naturaleza.

By all means, this is a camera that can hold its own with the 5D Mk III and D800. Though its standard autofocus may not be as good as its competitors, where it excels is in tracking focusing. Many photographers still like using the center focusing point and recomposing; and this camera seems to have been designed to do that partially with AF-D.

Is the Sony A99 the Best Full-Frame Camera for Video? ...the new A99 SLT full-frame camera is an attempt to take the reigns in the small camera race in both still photography and video. The specs are certainly there, with a 24 megapixel sensor and uncompressed HDMI, but as we know, specs don’t always tell the whole story. Después de la revolución de las HDSLR esta cámara recupera de manera muy franca una ergonomía de grabación muy necesaria para tomas al hombro, sobre todo en la grabación de documentales, adicionalmente el equipo cuenta con una montura E (Sony NEX) y un nuevo lente que ahora si puede grabar con foco continuo y cuenta con zoom servo automático, algo que en verdad extrañábamos en una buena cámara de video.
