Cindy Cohn, legal director and general counsel for the EFF, called the ruling a tremendous victory and a courageous decision by the court, which moves the group's efforts one step closer toward establishing the government surveillance programs as unconstitutional under the First and Fourth Amendments. It totally makes sense that the EU is considering taking that step. It is interesting that a different country's government is more concerned than our own about our citizens and their rights. I agree completely with the woman's statement that she does not believe that national security is a good enough reason anymore. It is not in the slightest. Losing our rights is far more dangerous and negative than the government's attempts at reducing incidents of terrorism. Orwell's 1984 is becoming more and more a reality everyday. Our government is beginning to get to the point of no return. The probability of a regime change will continue to increase unless the government back pedals.

WOW!!! THIS means something, folks!
Documents seen by the German newspaper Spiegel suggest that not only were
===> bugs installed in the EU's offices in Washington <===,
but also that the building's computer network was infiltrated.
THIS is going TOO FAR!!!

In the resolution, approved by 483 votes to 98 with 65 abstentions, MEPs express serious concern over PRISM and other surveillance programmes, strongly condemn spying on EU representations and call on the US authorities to provide them with full information on these allegations without further delay.

"The Americans justify everything with combatting terrorism," said the Luxembourg foreign minister, Jean Asselborn, who on Sunday described the latest allegations as disgusting. "The EU and its diplomats are not terrorists."
