Remotely Piloted Systems
This is a media curation page for the PIRatE Lab's AARR Program.  We are developing practical, low cost programs to monitor resources in our coastal zone (the land near the ocean and the ocean near the land) with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs aka "drones") overhead and subtidal Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) .  Enjoy!!

PIRatE Lab's insight:
While all these market predictions have to be taken with a grain of salt, the market predictors should be a bit more on point with the ROV/AUV market relative to their insane guesses about the UAS marketplace.

PIRatE Lab's insight:
Could be cool.  But the small size = small thrusters = problem controlling in open ocean and the hundreds of meters depth range is actually limited by their 30m tether.

Coolest way to kill crown-of-thorns yet!  Although, I am not sure that this "injection" will necessarily have the desired outcome.
