The Young Birders Network aims to provide resources for young birders to connect and learn, while giving their adult advocates resources to encourage and support. The network is coordinated by the Black Swamp Bird Observatory and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and includes dozens of partners.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has got you covered. NSF supports citizen science and crowdsourcing efforts across all areas of science, whether your passion is scanning the night sky, exploring your own backyard or playing video games.

At The White House this morning there's a forum on Citizen Science. We are so pleased to have faculty from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology join us in the Amazon for our Educator Academy each summer.  The CLO has been a leader in the field since the term was invented, and they run a range of projects that can allow you to take part in almost any science field that interests you. This Huffington Post article runs down a few of the options in the wider world, starting with CLO's own eBird project - a project we use in the Amazon!
