Article published a year ago. Shocking old news but bears repeating. Might again elsewhere.
Those poor customers. "It is unclear how the opium came to enter the food, however, previous cases in China have seen chefs try to ‘hook’ customers on their food through use of the narcotic which can cause serious addiction." Glad they shut the restaurants down!! Come on chefs! Don't say you didn't know any better! So? Any further steps taken? Like chefs put in jail! Chefs rat out drug suppliers! Etc. Don't just shut down the restaurant and stop there! |
