No system is complete without macro lenses and while Canon has been offering the RF 85mm f/2 STM IS macro early, it isn't really aligned to professional needs at least. In order to serve this market, Canon finally released the Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L USM IS macro. As professional-grade lenses go, the price for the entry ticket is on the high side at $1400/1500EUR - that's more than double the amount you have to pay for the faster RF 85mm f/2. This raises the question of whether it's really worth it ... so let's find out.

The Canon R5 has many noteworthy features, not the least of which is 8K video recording. However, the camera's video performance is hindered by overheating issues. Matt, from YouTube channel DIY Perks, has shared how he managed to get more from the camera, first through watercooling his R5, then through more conventional means.

Canon has released firmware updates for four of its mirrorless cameras, its flagship 1D X Mark III DSLR and its RF 50mm F1.2 L USM lens. The updates mainly address minor bugs and brings support for newer lenses to Canon's mirrorless cameras.

The new Techart TZM-01 lens adapter that lets you autofocus Leica M-mount lenses on Nikon Z mirrorless cameras is now available for purchase at Amazon and eBay. This is the second M to Z AF option after the Megadap MTZ11 adapter (available at the PROS).

Nikon Japan issued a notice indicating that the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f / 2.8 VR S mirrorless lens and several accessories are delayed (shipping was supposed to start on February 14). A new shipping date is yet to be determined.
