Haha, I think you got away with it. You can't be from the north, which seems to be only part of England which is into league. Anne from "The Chaser" is from Manchester, and a rugby league fan.

U.S. Prefers "Right-Handed" Baby Names - Nancy's Baby Names

New study: The QWERTY Effect (a bias for letters typed using the right hand) has been influencing U.S. baby name preferences since about 1990.
Clare's insight:

That is interesting.  Have the keys, and the sounds they stand for, become unconsciously lodged in the corresponding halves of people's brains?  The commenters suggest plausible reasons for this effect.


This made me try to find exclusively left-handed names.  Tara, Cara, Zara, Sara, Wade, Cade, Reese, Vera, Ever, Eve, Eva, Gerard, Trev, Drew, Edward, Edgar, Reg, Greg, Gerda, Ada, Ava, Dara, Carter, Rafe...this is a fun game.
