15 Popular Baby Names From The '90s We Should Bring Back For Today's Generation Of Wee Ones

15 Popular Baby Names From The '90s We Should Bring Back For Today's Generation Of Wee Ones | Name News | Scoop.it
Does
anyone else find baby name data weirdly fascinating? Because I sure
do. Given the fact that I also have a proclivity for waxing nostalgic
about days gone by, it therefore shouldn't be surprising that the
topic of “popular baby names from the '90s we should definitely name our
children today”
Clare's insight:

Many of these names haven't really gone away over here. For instance, Ethan is  #18, Zachary #40 and probably higher if you combine spellings, and Hunter's just done a massive leap up to #198.

14 Baby Names That Definitely Mean You Were Born In 1990

14 Baby Names That Definitely Mean You Were Born In 1990 | Name News | Scoop.it
Name trends are funny things: Sometimes, they’re so specific
that you can pin down exactly what year someone was born, purely based on the
name their parents gave them. Take, for example, these 14 popular baby names
from 1990 — if you’re of a certain age, odds are that most people will be able
to
Clare's insight:

If we're being literal-minded, I'd change that title to "...probably mean you were born around 1990." But that probably wouldn't get so many clicks.

Deze kindernamen werden populair door GTST = The names that GTST made popular

Deze kindernamen werden populair door GTST = The names that GTST made popular | Name News | Scoop.it
Ben je van plan je kind Rox, Loek, Rover of Zeger te noemen? Als je graag een zeldzame naam wilt raad ik dat af, want die namen zouden wel eens heel populair kunnen worden.
Clare's insight:

So GTST (Goede tijden, slechte tijden = "Good times, bad times") is the longest-running Dutch soap opera. It started in 1990 and is still going strong. The stats suggest that several characters had a dramatic impact on baby names.

Can we expect the same from the newest characters, Rox, Loek, Rover and Zeger? Alas, I just can't see Rover catching on internationally.
