In summary, as far as I can gather: Geórgia has not appeared in Portuguese data for the last two years. The spelling makes it seems fresher than the more common Jorja and Jorgina, and especially than the male name Jorge, which is a bit dated. It has good nickname possibilities (Gigi and Gia), but to some it might be too strongly a place name.
