In 1980 I decided that in order to run faster I needed to run with total body and in synchronized movement. So my introduction was with Liang who was my teacher for several years out in front of the Federal Building in Balboa Park here in San Diego. If you want to see how coordinated you are start to walk at your regular speed and then then slow down so that you are walking in slow motion. It is about moving slow to go fast. |
Bringing being aware and mindful to Marathoners, I created this bid that I had volunteer marathoners wear on the back of their running shirt. To help be part of the Psyching Team at the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon, they had to say aloud 5 to 8 times during their marathon after 8 miles: (My name) Relax Shoulders. Since people are in a trance state after mile 14 or 15, five to ten people would thank the volunteer or reminding them to: Relax Shoulders. Or the person behind would read aloud their Relax Shoulders bib & thank them for the reminder
