![“World’s First Spherical Flying Machine” Can Land and Fly Almost Anywhere [VIDEO] | Machinimania | Scoop.it](https://img.scoop.it/41A4LchEv53q4-OvZb0RHvBmLys6hX2ydzAVDqN3660=)
The Flying Sphere uses a combination of propellers and wings to hover, fly in any direction at up to 60KM/h and even move along the ground and walls.
The sci-fi classic Star Wars: A New Hope features a famous scene in which Luke Skywalker practices Jedi Lightsaber skills on a small, flying sphere that can hover and move quickly in any direction. Now, Japan’s Ministry of Defense has developed what may be a precursor to the Jedi training ball, though they call it a “Spherical Flying Machine.”

If i should pick the "Machinima Movie off the year 2011" it would be this.
I know most people of the machinima community have seen it, but i have to put it in here. This site would newer be completed without it.
"A philosophical exploration of the nature of the afterlife, god and human kind"is a very good way to describe it. I think you have to see it for your self. Words doesn't give it the credit it deserves.
It was made in iClone 4 and have the glitches from there but you will forget it as you see it. It doesn't matter. This movie will touch your soul.
Made by Animatechnica based on a story by Andy Weir, starring Richard Grove and Jorge Campos. Music composition by Jesse Pringle.

Digital photo frames are a dime a dozen nowadays, and recently, 3D models have been popping up, too. Fujifilm today announced the FinePix REAL 3D V3, a so-called "digital viewer" that displays pictures in 3D and doesn't require users to wear glasses. There seem to be no press release yet, but it's on it's way. Very interesting and just one of the step we are taking into real 3d without glasses. @ safegaard
