Henrik Safegaard - Cloneartist's insight:

Holograms are super cool, but they're hard to make at home. Pepper's Ghost, on the other hand, is a relatively simple 19th century optical trick that looks like a 3D hologram and brought a very dead Tupac Shakur back to the stage. And Joey Shanks is here to show us how to rig up a system to bring Pepper's (or Tupac's) ghost to your home.

Walt Disney Launched The Golden Age Of Animation
Investor's Business Daily
Even decades after his death, Walt Disney remains a towering figure in the minds of Americans.
Henrik Safegaard - Cloneartist's insight:

Disney (1901-66) is still seen as a character as large as the ones he drew for the screen.

"People don't see him as a Hollywood mogul. He is the lovable uncle," Charles Coletta, an instructor on popular culture at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, told IBD. "He is still very popular. A lot of papers about Walt Disney are still written by students. He had an insight into what the general public found entertaining, and he owns so much of our childhood."

I like that the speaker Will was straightforward and thorough with explaining different mic options and how to apply different techniques  to help the recording process. It interested me that Will demonstrated the muff or "dead cat" showing that the usual use is for wind noise reduction but it may be used for reducing noise in certain vocal overtones.

Mink Is A 3D Printer For Makeup

3D printing is all the rage these days, but for now, it's mostly centered around little plastic doo-dads. The Mink, launching today on the Disrupt NY stage, is a bit different.
Henrik Safegaard - Cloneartist's insight:

Simply choose a color on a website, Pinterest board, or snap one with your phone in the real world, and use any color picker to locate the hex code of the color.

Once you have the code, you can put it into any other program like Photoshop or Paint and simply press print.

The company is targeting the younger, 13-21 demographic who are less ingrained in their habits with certain brands and retailers.

The Mink costs less than $200, with plans to launch later in the year

Check out the great example of character design, animation and rendering work in this playful spot called "One Night", created for the major greek telecommunications company, Wind -by the talented Artists over at Ignyte! As night falls and the shop lights go out, mobile phone app characters emerge from their slumber and come alive in a frenzy. Be entertained as they react with one another, each with their own stories unfolding.

This project involved extensive 3D work as all characters were intricately designed and animated, and was successfully executed in a very short timeframe. The shoot took place at the Wind main store in Athens, which was redesigned and completely rebuilt in CGI. The success of this campaign led to further projects across different media, and we will certainly be seeing more of these characters for a long time to come.

Is Web Page Scraping the Most Ideal Method to Learn About Your Competitors?

Is Web Page Scraping the Most Ideal Method to Learn About Your Competitors? | Machinimania | Scoop.it
The importance of competitor price monitoring can never be emphasized enough. Researching on the pricing structure your competition is using online is very critical to the success of your business....
Henrik Safegaard - Cloneartist's insight:

This is for for businesses or people who sell things on the internet.

This article was suggested to me and i will post it, even if i don't agree on the subject completely.

I know this is how at least 90 % of companies do it. However, the really big one don't. Think Apple would they be what they are if they care so much of competition firms price settings?

My philosophy is different, if you want to be in business make your product stand out, make it unik in all the way possible, and make something people wan't. If you just follow the others footsteps you will always be behind.

Go and make something exclusive, that's what i like ;-)
