Before the computing era, ILM was the master of oil matte painting, making audiences believe that some of the sets in the original Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogy were real when they weren’t. The Passion Competition was born in 2007. Initially it was a just for fun type thing. In 2009 we started offering cash prizes. 2010 saw corporate sponsors like Reallusion, Sony Software and Moviestorm offer their software as prizes, This brought in additional entries but not to the level we expected. 2015 saw the addition of small cash prizes on top of the software.
To help the competition grow we would like to offer higher cash prizes ($250, $500, etc.) to supplement the software but due to a limited financial situation prizes larger than $50 are not obtainable without help.
The money raised here will go mainly to the prize chest but some of it will be used to help advertise the competition on various sites. We have paid artists to create videos ads in the past (this came as out of pocket money) and would like to continue doing so. All monies raised will be used strictly for the competition and none will go for personal use.

On a saturday night if im not out with friends, I will lay back and watch a disney movie or my personal favourites Star Wars, Harry Potter or Indiana Jones ( Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). Movies have always been an interest to me with their visual/CGI effects that are used. I enjoy watching a movie that feature some of my favourite actors or actresses, Harrision Ford, Danielle Radcliff, Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush are a few of my personal favuorites.
