Le Grand-Duché se retrouve tout en haut des classements pour sa part de diplômés d'études supérieures dans la population.
Les statistiques sur le niveau d'instruction sont très diverses et parfois contradictoires, mais d'après les chiffres d'Eurostat, chez les 27, la part de la population âgée de 30 à 34 ans ayant obtenu un diplôme d'études est la plus élevée en Irlande, avec 66,4%, juste devant le Luxembourg (66,3%). In 2023, Luxembourg’s National Education Training Institute started incorporating AI topics into teacher training courses, aiming to equip teachers with knowledge and skills needed to use and teach AI technologies effectively. This initiative has since consistently expanded.
The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is inevitable and spans all social domains. It will gradually reshape how teaching is conducted and how learners acquire knowledge. Artificial intelligence is already part of daily life for a large number of people in Luxembourg, according to a new survey published on Wednesday by the Quest Institute.
The survey, conducted between 24 June and 2 July among 600 residents, sought to better understand attitudes towards AI, its uses, benefits and potential risks. Quest described the results as "full of surprises", revealing that "contrary to all expectations, artificial intelligence arouses far less mistrust than expected and is already establishing itself as a familiar tool for a large part of the population. The University of Luxembourg is proud to announce the opening of the University of Luxembourg Institute for Digital Ethics, an interdisciplinary hub which will offer science-based expertise, counsel and training to researchers and stakeholders, including policy-makers or enterprises. The Institute for Digital Ethics (ULIDE) will launch its activities on 1 January 2025.
