Internet a permis l'accélération de l'accès au contenu et aux communications mais a appauvri parallèlement le vocable utilisé. Le langage web est figuratif alors que le langage métaphorique est plus engageant, immersif et en conséquence, mémorisable… On apprend ici que ce n'est pas tant le volume de contenus - en référence aux formats longs en vogue chez les fins limiers du journalisme - que la dimension métaphorique et évocatrice des textes et webdocs par exemple, qui permet l'immersion dans une histoire. Le choix des mots est donc déterminant. La richesse du vocabulaire utilisé rendra l'expérience plus immersive et émotionnelle. En sollicitant de plus grandes parties du cerveau, ce vocabulaire étoffé permet au lecteur de mieux "visualiser" ce qui est décrit, et donc de mieux le "vivre".
