A recent survey has found that your IT department thinks a Mac is more manageable than a PC or Chromebook.

According to a survey of IT professionals, Macs and iOS devices are easier to manage when it comes to security, device configuration, software deployment, and support.

Of those surveyed, 62 percent said the Mac is as easy or easier to deploy than PC, and 93 percent said it’s as easy or easier to deploy an iPhone or iPad over another device.

But until today, it's felt like one huge piece of that platform was missing: a way to control it

HomeKit is the name for Apple's home automation framework for developers.

With HomeKit, our iPhones and iPads have a rational way to configure, communicate with, and control "the internet of things" around us, including connected lights, speakers, security systems, blinds, and more.

Both locally when you're home and remotely when you're away, through apps and through Siri, Apple's virtual personal assistant.

As it does every year, Apple has today made its WWDC 2018 video transcripts available.

This means interested developers can now quickly search through content from WWDC sessions, as opposed to having to watch each video…

Apple’s transcripts are linked directly with each video, meaning developers can search in the transcript and then immediately jump to that part of the video.

You can also see al instances where a keyword is mentioned and share time stamped links.

Take advantage of transcripts to quickly discover and share information presented in WWDC18 videos.

You can search by keyword, see all instances where the keyword is mentioned in the video, go straight to the time it was mentioned, and even share a link to that specific time.

Apple’s session videos from WWDC 2018 offer a more detailed look at many of the changes coming in this year’s software updates.

While Apple is only able to offer surface-level looks at updates during its WWDC keynote, session videos dive deeper into specific changes such as Safari 12, CarPlay, and more.

Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is Apple software that allows a user to manage medium to large numbers of iPhone and iPads.  

The workgroups range in size from just a handful for a classroom to deploying apps to thousands of users across the world.

John Miller and Nick Amundsen of JAMF software are experts with MDM, and spoke at DevCon 2016 on how to specifically deploy and configure FileMaker mobile custom apps using MDM

Bien que similaire sur le principe aux Guidelines Material Design d'Android, elles sont tout à fait différentes.

Premièrement, elles sont plus anciennes et moins orientées design que celles de Google.

Comme tout utilisateur d'appareil iOS le sait, il existe généralement une forte cohérence entre les applications publiées sur l'App Store d'Apple, du moins, pour les plus travaillées de celles-ci.

Elles respectent en général divers principes qui font que l'utilisateur s'y retrouve dans son panel d'applications.

Cela est dû au travail d'Apple sur le sujet.

En effet, la société de Cupertino fait en sorte que les éditeurs d'applications iOS fournissent un gros travail sur le respect de ces principes.

Ces dernières années, Apple a intensifié son support en la matière en mettant régulièrement à jour son guide officiel.
