Description: Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Continuous Process Improvement Consultant (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Clinical Transformation at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. The Continuous Process Improvement Consultant provides process improvement and project management services for Swedish across department and functional boundaries using Lean, Six Sigma and other strategies. This consultant leads project teams that are focused on delivering measurable results, documented and sustained improvement in health care and service delivery. This consultant also establishes and maintains effective working relationships with leadership, staff and medical staff, supporting efforts to identify and implement breakthrough strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of quality and safe care provided at Swedish. In this position you will: Be responsible for project scoping of identified opportunities for improvement and ensure that key project metrics are defined, developed, tracked and re-evaluated; that changes identified that will result in improvement are acted upon for continuous and sustained improvement; and that all applicable, regulatory, requirements are incorporated into project planning, project updates and reports. Lead cross-functional project teams across institutional and functional boundaries including train, coach and guide project team members through completion of each project. Define and implement process improvements on approved key initiatives that focus on: customer satisfaction (consumer, staff and medical staff); quality of the service and care received; safety centered focused; delivery of care at the right time, in the right place; financially responsible. Participate in literature review, professional development, educational opportunities and networking with peers. Develop approach, methods and processes to support long-term sustainability of teams moving work into operations with the department leadership. Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, industrial or production engineering or related field Training and/or experience in process improvement facilitation and techniques Experience leading or co-leading minimum of three (3) full-cycle Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma and/or Lean projects Proven success in a highly matrixed work environment Experience in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external customers Preferred qualifications for this position include: Master's Degree Experience managing personnel Experience leading project teams in a healthcare environment About Swedish Shared Services Swedish is the largest, most comprehensive, nonprofit health provider in the Greater Seattle area.
