Managing all of your content, classes, meetings, and daily life can be hard. Using Google Calendars in your classroom will make you a more organized and savvy teacher. This technology is an extension of Google and can be shared across devices which makes its use so much more influential. By synchronizing all of your schedules and creating "To-Do" lists allows you to prioritize and manage your time more effectively; allowing you to become a better teacher.

Using technology to do old-fashioned mapping assignments is an amazing addition to the social studies classroom. This tutorial will allow teachers to become knowledgable in the latest apps and how to fashion a mapping assignment using Keynote or Gimp. It also allows the user to create an interactive map that encourages collaboration and sharing on several unique topics. The addition of animation and layovers also enhances the learning experience so students can see movement over time.

Kids learn so much language while engaged with books. Creating their own books is a great - and necessary - activity for children. Building language and literacy skills through narratives - stories about themselves - gives kids the needed skills for conversations, literacy, and other academic areas. Build communicative competence through self-created books. |
